HOMELESS SHELTER PROGRAM

Homelessness is a problem that affect many America. If you are homeless and need help or if you want to learn more about homelessness and how you can be help , we have information for you.
 
If you are homeless, help is available, Ayeni international and along with many other agencies have programs to help the homeless individual or families. These programs are managed by local organizations that will provide assistances such as shelters, food, counseling and job skills. So start by contacting agency in your area or contact Us.

AIDS AND HIV PREVENTION PROGRAM
 
The epidemic HIV has infested more than 60 million men, women and children, and AIDS by itself cost lives of nearly 20 million adults and children. The outrage and tension of international responses to AIDS/HIV pandemic. HIV have continue to spread, and cause more than 14,000 new infections everyday, 95% of these are in the developing World. Today AIDS is leading Cause of death in Africa, and the front runner of AIDS Vaccine prompted the United Nations program on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) in introducing a new HIV Vaccine initiative (HVI) to boost HIV/AIDS Vaccine effort.
 
WHAT IS HIV/AIDS?
 
The human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is a retrovirus that infects cells of human immune system, destroying or impairing their function. In the early stage of the infection, the person has no symptoms. However, as the infection progresses, the immune system becomes weaker, and the person becomes susceptible to so called opportunistic infections. The most advanced stage of HIV infection is acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). It can take 10-15 years for an HIV-infected person to develop AIDS; antiretroviral drugs can slow down the process even further.
HIV is transmitted through unprotected sexual intercourse (anal or vaginal), transfusion of contaminated blood, sharing of contaminated needles, and between mother and her infant during pregnancy, childbirth and breastfeeding.
 
STEPS TO PREVENT AIDS/HIV:
  • Advocacy, Information, Education and Policy Dialog
  • Guidance and Coordination of international efforts, and developing  norms and standards, promoting development of vaccines appropriate Global use especially in developing countries through training and capacity building

WAYS TO PREVENT HIV/AIDS SPREAD: 
  • Good knowledge of sex partner well being (Health)
  • Use of Condom (Protective Sex)
  • Avoid exposure or touching other people's blood ( Use Protective Material)
  • When performing CPR, Use Caution and Health Judgment
  • Ask your sex partner whether he/she have been tested for AIDS/HIV
  • Do not share needles with Drug Partner 
SECURING OUR FUTURE FROM AIDS AND HIV:
 
All the people with significant resources in Africa are dying prematurely from AIDS that continues to pose serious treat and challenges to the African States to maintain efficient public institutions and deliver sound  policies, and promote the rule of law. HIV infection patterns are continually changing economic realities by making treatment to be more difficult and resistance to current drugs that are being produce. These challenges can be faced and surmounted through better appreciation of country-specific epidemic, use of better data for national response, good governance and strong political commitment at all level of society. However, comprehensive response to AIDS must be the focal point of development strategies. The retrospective report presents key messages and policy recommendations formulated with crucial role of the views of people affected and infected by AIDS.
